Dancing in a Pot of Paint I

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Chuck MacLean Arts Center

Camrose, Alberta

Dancing in a pot of paint requires letting go of your inhibitions, seeking that silent space between your creative self and your thinking self, and giving yourself permission to just “be in the moment”.

We began the class by painting our own tissue papers …just following our instinct of wherever the colors might lead us. We then set the tissues out to dry while we prepared our canvases.

Later the class embellished their canvases with these tissues, with different texture techniques we had learned and with any found objects they wished to apply. These were some of the stunning pieces of artwork from that day!
